This most popular Italian wine is produced between the hills of Vicenza and Treviso, in the heart of the Veneto region using 100% Pinot Grigio grapes. A lush, refreshing wine with intense aromas of tropical fruits (fresh grapefruit, lemons & apples) balanced with fresh herbaceous notes.  Medium-bodied, it gives a core of citrus flavours marked by a racy backbone with a clean & uncomplicated finish.  This is a classic Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc from the nose through to its long & flavoursome finish.  The palate is well-structured, crisp with great acidity.

Ramón Bilbao Rosado is a varietal Grenache from old vines in the Tudelilla vineyard.  It is pale salmon in colour & exhibits lemon and grapefruit aromas interwoven with

on the palate is balanced with notes of fresh fruit.  Best drank as an aperitif.

Ramón Bilbao, Verdejo, ‘Rueda’, Castilla y León, Spain                                        €30.00

Straw yellow colour with emerald hues, bright and clean.  It is an aromatic, elegant and fresh wine, dominated by the typical tropical fruit notes of this kind of Verdejo.  On the nose this 100% Verdejo is intense and aromatic with a tropical character and citrus notes such as lime and peach.  Perfectly pairs with fish, seafood & rice dishes.  Ideal as an aperitif.

Marques de Caro Blanco, Valencia, Spain                                                                  €31.00

Try something a bit different!  This is a white wine made from Macabeo (70%) and Moscatel (30%) grapes from the Valencia D.O. This young wine has a wonderfully ripe peach & sweet tropical fruits with lifted floral notes from the naturally sweet Moscatel grape.  Try it with white meats, salads, rice dishes & grilled white fish.

Award winning wine produced in one of the highest vineyards in the world standing at 5,500 feet above sea level with gets 350 days of sunshine.  This terroir results in a wine which is highly concentrated in colour & flavours.  Argentina’s no. 1 white wine, Torrontes (5 grape varieties including Muscat) is marked by its enticing floral aromas, with hints of peach, flowers & orange citrus fruit.  Dense & beautiful structure with a fruity, floral & yet still quite dry taste.  This wine marries well with aged meats, cheeses, seafood & spicy cuisines.

This Reserva wine showcases the spirit of a black sheep; willing to be different and innovative.  This is a white wine made from Chardonnay (60%) and Viognier (40%) grapes from the Maule Valley, Chile.  An aromatic wine that offers tropical fruits such as passion fruit and banana, balanced by a light touch of apricot, citrus, and a hint of green apple.  Perfect with white meats, seafood & calamares.

Espelt is located in the Emporda region of Spain, an amphitheatre overlooking the sea, encircled by mountains, which transforms with the seasons.  The Garnacha Blanca from Espelt comes from their highest elevation & oldest vineyard, Rabos, tucked in the Albera Nature Reserve Area.  Winner of the Bronze Medal in the 2013 International Wine Challenge, this wine is aromatic, showing notes of apricot, vanilla, aniseed and fennel. The mouthfeel is round, rich and mouth-coating.  “For those who know that youth isn’t everything…”

Viña Muriel Blanco Reserva, 2010, Viura, Rioja, Alavesa, Spain                                    €45.00

A splendid wine made from Rioja’s finest white grapes (100% Viura) & fermented in new French oak barrels from the Elciego area in the heart of the premium Rioja Alavesa region; designed to showcase the very best of Rioja.  A highly complex wine which converges nuances of citrus & white flowers with fine spices & toast from the oak aging.  Fresh on the palate with a soft long finish & good acidity.  A different, special & memorable wine experience.

A soft, fruity, easy-going Spanish Vino Tinto with bags of dark berry fruit & a twist of pepper on the finish from the vine-yard of Bodegas San Valero, Aragon.  A Medium – full bodied wine, that’s best served with hard cheese, beef & red meats

Castillo de Covanegra Reserva, Jumilla, Spain        €6.75              €17.50                       €25.00

Castillo de Covanegra is a blend of the local Monastrell grape from North Murcia, Spain.  Grown amongst the wide, sun-drenched valleys of Jumilla, in the South-East of Spain, the use of specially selected ancient bush vines has result in a concentrated wine, full of ripe fruit aromas & blackberries.  The unusual grape variety and taste of this wine would be great for someone looking for something different. Recommended with slow cooked red meat on the bone.

Tempranillo from 30 year old vines selected from the best vintage seasons with an aging of 2 years in French oak barrels.  A red coloured Tempranillo wine with delicate brick-red highlights. Its bouquet has a sweet vanilla fragrance accompanied by a hint of fresh fruit. It has a smooth taste, and is an elegantly balanced wine that leaves a delicious aftertaste.

Organic wine from the most important winery in the Cafayate Valley at over 5,500 feet above sea level.  Warm days, cool nights & low humidity help make rich concentrated grapes.  Typically ripe with a deep red colour & a fruit plumy nose.  Upfront fruit that is both ripe & rich with soft tannins & balancing acidity.  Best drank with cheese dishes, chicken & seafood.

Gold medal award winning wine produced in one of the highest vineyards in the world standing at 5,500 feet above sea level with gets 350 days of sunshine.  This terroir results in a wine which is highly concentrated results in a dark ruby red colour with almost opaque with purple tones with a nose of rich fruit cake and plums with a spicy edge.  Well made with good balance, this is a very good example of Argentinean Malbec.

The Marqués de Caro Tempranillo is a red wine made from 100% Tempranillo grapes coming from the Valencia D.O.  This young ‘Joven’ wine is a ripe, fruit forward intensely flavoured red wine with masses of bright plum & red cherry fruit.  Quite simply delicious & easy drinking Tempranillo.   Try it with red and white meats, Spanish traditional cold meats (Spanish Ham, Chorizo), tapas, pasta and rice dishes and cured cheeses.  Manager’s Choice.

Ramón Bilbao Crianza is a classic of La Rioja. Fruity, balanced and perfectly tuned due to the work done with the oak barrels.  Ruby red with some signs of youth in the form of violet hues, Aromas of fresh dark fruit like blackberries and black currants accompanied with hints of licorice.   It is clean & bright on the palate with pleasant flavours of vanilla, cinnamon sticks, & wild herbs.  Best paired with grilled red meats, cheeses & game.

Espelt Old Vines, Garnacha, Emporda, Spain                                                           €33.00

Espelt is located in the Emporda region of Spain, an amphitheatre overlooking the sea, encircled by mountains.  Garnacha Old Vines boasts remarkable intensity as well as richness along with lots of strawberry, wild, briary mountain fruit & hints of spice.  The sweet tannin, medium to full-bodied mouthfeel & luscious personality have resulted in a gorgeous wine to enjoy.

Prado del Rey ‘Roble’, Ribera del Duero, Spain                                                        €36.00

Spain’s newest wine classification; Roble; is a medium bodied ‘tinto fino’ wine made with Tempranillo (95%) with Cabernet Sauvignon & Merlot.  This wine is briefly matured in Oak (6 months) & then aged in the bottle. The wine has an intense deep ruby colour, is very fruity & fresh with hints of blackcurrant compote.  Pairs perfectly with roasted meats & cheeses.

Ruby red in colour; 100% hand-selected Tempranillo grapes from the vineyards in La Rioja.  This wine is aged to perfection in American & French Oak Barrells for 24 months with 3 rackings & further bottle aged for 2 years.  Palate is round & boasts mature red fruits with hints of liquorice & spice.  Has a beautiful velvety & long very satisfying finish.  Matches well with grilled meats, fish, cheeses & chocolate desserts.

Bodegas Ramón Bilbao, Gran Reserva, La Rioja, Spain                                        €49.00     A modern style Rioja, harvested from old vines in the vineyards around Haro, the wine is aged for 30 months in American oak casks, followed by a further 36 months ageing in the cellar.  A blend of Tempranillo, Garnacha & Graciano grapes.  An alluring, ethereal, aromatic nose of sandalwood & spice make this a suave and easy-going wine.                    Well structured and harmonious on the finish.

Bodegas Ramón Bilbao, Mirto, Spain                                                                          €59.00

Ramón Bilbao Mirto was born from a selection of the best Tempranillo grapes grown on vines more than 70 years old.  After the selection of the bunches, the fermentation takes place in small oak vats at a controlled temperature & it passes through French oak barrels where malolactic fermentation takes place without racking.  The wine is aged for 24 months in Allier French oak barrels after which it is bottled without being filtered. It is a magnificent red wine with great personality and modern style.

This Cava combines glamour, innovation and modernity with the experience and history of what is probably Codorniu’s most iconic offering.  Elegance and subtlety, which to a large extent come from a blend with approximately 70% of the most prestigious varietal for making rose cavas: Pinot Noir.  Delicate cherry colour with strawberry tones. Fine and persistent bubbles. Aromas of red fruit, strawberries, cherries and woodland fruits with hints of green apple. Elegant and light on the palate. Codorniu Brut, a faithful reflection of the first cava created by Codorníu in 1872 which still maintains its original blend of the three traditional cava grape varieties: Macabeo, Xarello and Parellada.  Like Champagne, Cava is made according to the Traditional Method.
